I'm a big kid, so don't let the numbers fool you. I think 47 is the new 37, and I try to tell myself that every day. To the contrary, my body is beginning to understand the term "weekend warrior"... should take stock in Advil.
I feel I've found a happy balance in my life: engineering one minute, riding the slopes the next, and BBQing up a storm to fuel it all. My humor might follow my nerdiness, as the most bizarre things tend to amuse me. Why don't people smile and laugh more? Life's too short...
When relaxing from running around, I enjoy good movies, and watching them with someone that I can deconstruct it with afterwards. Documentary, history, cooking, nature, and biography is usually where the channel is set (my geek side), but I might be caught watching soccer or college ball (my jock side). Oh, and a good dose of Daily Show can make a bad headline day laughable (goofy side). Indecision 2006! If I had HBO, I'd probably loose sleep, so that's a plus (my oh, so tired side).
I'm very at home in the garage, and have been a carpenter/plumber/heavy equipment operator in the past, good at fixing things (or breaking, if that's what you need done). I was the kind of kid who spent lots of time in the sand box and with my Legos. I thought I outgrew that, but now find myself back in the sand box with my son. I've always had some athletic outlet, and I feel great when I can stretch my body after a good workout (pay the price if I don't).
I like those long, full-on hugs, so be prepared.And, don't sweat my match location of MI,MI - my career is geographically neutral so if you think i'm out of your circle, guess again.
